Why become an Associate Certifi ed Entomologist?
In today's increasingly complex and highly-specialized economy, credentials are so important. Sure, you know you've got the skills to do the job, but how do you convince potential customers and employers you're the best one for the job? For many career-minded pest management professionals, certifi cation is often the answer.The Entomological Society of America offers a certifi -cation option geared specifi cally toward the pest man-agement industry. Launched in May of 2004, the ACE program is rapidly becoming the industry-standard for professionalism and training.
Are you ready to become an ACE?
To take this ACE Prep Course and Exam, there are several steps you must complete:
1. Meet the prerequisites of:
• Holding a current pesticide applicators license,
• Have a minimum of 7 years of verifi able pest man-agement experience,
• Exhibit a willingness to adhere to the ACE Code of Ethics.
2. Complete the ESA ACE application process as outlined at http://www.entocert.org/ace-application-process. This includes completing an application and sending a CV or resume, signing the Code of Ethics, selecting VPMA as your proctor, and paying the fee ($125 - $150) to ESA. This must be done no later than April 12, 2013.
3. Complete the attached VPMA registration form and pay the $175 fee to VPMA by May 7, 2013.This ACE Prep Course is designed to act as a review in prepartion to take the ACE Exam. It does not replace extensive self-study prior to the course.

This workshop qualifies for recertification in categories 7A, 7B, 8 and 60. Becomming an ACE is not a requirement to attend this workshop. You can attend this workshop soley for the training and recertification credits. Please hand write a note "Recert Only" if you would like to attend the workshop without getting your ACE certifiation.
