Scholarship Committee

The VPMA Scholarship Committee has awarded a $750 scholarship to Preston Brown and Hamilton Allen for the Spring 2008 academic semesters.The scholarships, supported in part by the Central Virginia Pest Management Association, provide financial assistance for Brown's thesis on pest ant species in residential environments and Allen's research on Red Imported Fire Ants. VPMA will be sending our request for new and renewal applications for the fall semester, the first week in August. CVPMA has renewed their challenge to the other local associations to contribute money to the scholarship. Education Program Scholarships The committee has drawn up a preliminary outline for an educational program scholarship for members. Look for more information to come on this program.
