Public Relations Committee

The committee distributed three press releases this quarter:

"April is Pest Management Month" and "Keys to Finding a Pest Professional" in April (to correspond with the release of the new website) and "Virginia Pest Management Firms Respond to the Threat of Mosquitoes" in June. The Public Relations committee has once again attained a proclamation from the Gorernor to declare April as Pest Management month. In keeping with this procolamation, a press release was sent to 500 media outlets to promote this proclamation.

The committee regularly submits time-sensitive press releases that discuss an appropriate pest management topic and always encourages consumers to hire a professional.

The committee will also be developing a tradeshow package that members can use to promote the industry at regional tradeshows and community events.
