- To make your reservations within the group block, a credit card must be provided to cover the first night's deposit, refundable up to 72 hours in advance of arrival.

Simplifying Cat 8 Certification
November 11, 2025, 12:00 pm - 5:15 pm
The Category 8 Prep Course prepares attendees to sit for the Category 8 exam by providing classroom instruction, vocabulary review, quizzes, and a Q&A session. VDACS will be on-site to proctor the actual exam at the conclusion of the Prep Course.
Steps to Passing the Category 8 Exam:
- Secure an authorization to test letter from VDACS to take the Category 8 Exam. Visit the VDACS website: https://www.vdacs.virginia.gov/pesticide-commercial-applicator.shtml for all the information about this process. The fastest way to secure approval is through the VDACS online portal. For assistance, email opsclrt.vdacs@vdacs.virginia.gov.
- Register for the Category 8 Prep Course.
- Begin your study and review of the resource materials sent to you by VPMA after you register.
