President of Sales. Wright began his storied career with Arrow Exterminators
over 38 years ago and has excelled in various leadership positions within the
organization including most recently, Regional Sales Manager. In his new role, Wright will continue to

corporate departments such as Technical Services, Government and Public

Scholarship Committee Extends Appreciation for Contributions |
|
VPMA provides spring and fall scholarships each year to support industry-related research at the Dodson Urban Pest Management Lab. The scholarship fund is supported through member donations, fundraising events and by the generous donation of each of the four local associations in Virginia.
50/50 raffles were held at TPCA's November membership meeting and the TPCA Christmas Party. TPCA donated their share of the proceeds from both raffles to the VPMA Scholarship fund. In addition, the winner of the November meeting 50/50 was David McCormick of Dupont who also donated his winnings. VPMA greatly appreciates the generousity donations. The additional funds ensure that VPMA will be able to continue to suppport future research.

VPAR Lunch & Learn Event a Success |

The Lunch & Learn held at the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors office on Oct 13th sponsored by the TPCA and VPMA was a huge success. Bob Herget and Tom Mares presented the only approved class in Virginia designed for educating Realtors about the termite and moisture letter. The class was well attended with over 42 participants representing 9 local companies.

Arrow Exterminators Celebrates 14th Year as Sponsor for Parade Benefiting Children’s Healthcare of |

For
over a decade Arrow Exterminator's employees have been entertaining
spectators in downtown Atlanta by sponsoring and participating in the
annual Children's Healthcare of Atlanta®
(CHOA) Holiday Parade. Over 80 employees braved the cold to walk in the
parade and expertly maneuvered two-story character balloons, the Three
Blind Mice, down the one mile route.

In Memory of John "Wes" Hodges, Sr. |
John Wesley Hodges Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - John "Wes" Hodges Sr., 70, died Oct. 2,
2011. Mr. Hodges, a native of Norfolk, had operated Wes Hodges and Associates
Pest Control Company. Survivors include a son, John W. Hodges Jr.;
grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Hodges; sister, Doris White; and brother,
Robert C. Hodges. A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in
Riverside Memorial Park, 1000 E. Indian River Road, Norfolk. Foster Funeral
Home, Portsmouth, is assisting the family. Condolences may be registered at

Kick off Meeting Impact Player of the Year Award and Manager of the Year Award Winners
Arrow Exterminators kicked off their 2011-2012 fiscal
year with their annual Managers’ Meeting held at the Starkey Thomas National
Training Center in Woodstock, Georgia. This two-day event also celebrated
achievements from the prior fiscal year capped off with the presentation of two
annual awards, the John C. Millican Impact Player of the Year Award and the
Starkey Thomas Manager of the Year Award.
