VPMA Certifies WDI Inspectors through Proprietary Program |
Fredericksburg, VA
- Realizing that there are no laws governing who can and who cannot conduct a
Wood Destroying Insect Report for a new home purchase, the Virginia Pest
Management Association (a statewide trade association) has created a new
inspector certification program. Called the WDI Inspector Certification
Program, it prepares pest management professionals to perform consistent,
thorough inspections that their customers can truly rely on.
To qualify
for the designation, individuals must take a detailed and comprehensive
training program and pass the final exam. They must also be employed by a
company holding a pesticide business license and have a minimum certification
by the Virginia Department of Agriculture.
Real estate
professionals and individual homeowners should select only a Certified
Inspector for their termite and wood destroying insect reports to assure
reliability and accuracy. If a non-certified inspector is hired, you are not
assured that accurate information will reach the home buyer or seller. Not all
individuals performing inspections in Virginia
have liability insurance which is a requirement for VPMA Certified Inspector
designation.
To find a VPMA Certified
Inspector in your neighborhood, log on to www.VPMAonline.com
and search for an inspector in your area.
