VPMA State Technical Meeting 2009 September 30th - Business Management Sessions October 1st - Technical Sessions Sheraton Park South, Richmond, VA Click here for a full brochure and registration form. VPMA's goal is to make this conference an economic benefit for our PMP members, as well as our suppliers and manufacturers. Despite the economy, VPMA has polished the State Technical Meeting into the brightest educational opportunity ever, ensuring that it will once again shine as Virginia's premier training and exhibit event! Both days of training offer meaningful information to anyone involved in pest management. The first day, September 30th, focuses on business development strategies such as finding the value of your business, sales training, profitable ethics, recession-proof marketing strategies and add-on services. Each topic, presented by PMPs who are successfully growing their businesses even during these difficult times, will not only help you survive this ecomomy, but potentially thrive! A panel of business owners will even show you how to manage your P&L to stay on top so your business grows! The second day of training, October 1st, delves into technical issues and will be a great training program for technicians, sales staff, administrators and managers alike. Everyone in a pest management office needs to be able to speak to customers about key pest subjects. The technical day will feature two of our industry's hottest pests: bed bugs and fire ants. Those evasive termites will be revealed in a new light and the continuing war on cockroaches will be evaluated. Pest Fest and VPMA's Annual Meeting will be held on the evening of September 30th. You won't want to miss the Backyard BBQ banquet, with grill masters Harry Bryan of Nisus and John Murphy of LiphaTech manning the grill. The 2009 Election results will be announced and the 12th Annual VPMA Industry Stewardship Award recipient will be honored at the annual meeting. Bringing together a program of this caliber is a rare opportunity, not to mention quite an expense. We certainly couldn't have made this happen without the support of our Gold and Silver sponsors. Be sure to thank them as you visit their booths in the Exhibit Hall. |
