WDI Inspector Recertification Training |
If your VPMA Certified WDI Inspector status expires in 2013 you must complete the VPMA WDI Inspector Recertification Online program by June 30, 2013.
To access the VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Recertification Workshop follow these steps:
1. Each person taking the online WDI Recertification course needs to create an NPMA Online Learning Center (Learning Zen) account. If you already have an NPMA Online Learning Center account, click here .
- To create an NPMA Online Learning Center account, click here.
- Complete the account registration form with the technician's information.
- When prompted for the authorization code enter: NPMA
(please note if you have purchased a Prepaid Access Code, this is not
where you enter it). If you don't enter this code, you will not automatically enter the course offereings, you will instead receive an email prompting your to activate your account.
- Each technician seeking to register for the online class needs their own account with a unique email address.
2. Once your account has been created, or if you already have an account, click here and log into your account, then:Click on the "Study" tab
- Click on "VPMA WDI Inspector Recertification" course listed.
- When you are prompted to "Pay for Course" either enter a credit card number, or if you have purchased a "Prepaid Access Code" enter it under the box that asks "Do you have a discount coupon code for this course?".
- If you are unable to purchase the course with a credit card please call VPMA at 877-875-8722 to arrange for an alternate form of payment.
4. Once you have purchased the course, please read the "Outline" Tab before beginning the course.
5. Click on the "Chapter" tab.
- Work your way through all five chapters. Be sure to close each chapter after completing it, before moving on to the next chapter.
- Chapter 5 - print and read the VDACS update. VPMA will automatically submit recertification requests on your behalf to VDACS for 7-B and catagory 60 after you complete this program.
- Complete the exam (you are not required to pass the exam, results are used for evaluation purposes only).
- At the conclusion of the course a "certificate of completion" will
be automatically generated that you should print and keep for your
records. VPMA will also be notified that you have completed the course,
and after verification that your VDACS license is current, we will
mail your new WDI Inspector card within 30 days. If you don't receive
your new card within 30 days, please call us at 877/875-8722 and be
prepared to provide us with a copy of your "certificate of completion".
Troubleshooting: If you are unable to move on to the next chapter, click on
the "Study" tab and re-select the VPMA WDI Recertification course and
then try moving on to the next chapter. If that doesn't work, log out of
Learning Zen, close your browser, re-enter Learning Zen by clicking here, then resume the course.
Other important information:
- VPMA Certified Inspectors must complete each of the four modules and complete the exam questions.
- The exam is not graded, but is a required part of the course.
- The
course takes approximately two hours to complete. You may leave the
course and return to complete it at a later time, just log into your
NPMA Online Learning Center Account and resume where you left off.

- If you have numerous technicians you need to run through the course, you can purchase a number of course pass codes in advance. Each technician would then register as a user on LearningZen and use the passcode to pay for the course. Click here to take advantage of this method of prepayment.
