VPMA Launches New Website Upgrades To Reach Multiple Devices

The Virginia Pest Management Association announced today the re-launch of a newly re-designed Website which will enable seamless navigation by way of mobile and smartphone devices.

VPMA’s site – www.VPMAOnline.com – was upgraded by BCS Website Services, a Richmond-based Website hosting and development company.

VPMA is a 70-year-old trade association representing the interests of more than 3,000 Virginians working in the pest-management business.

Of the web site upgrade, VPMA president Beth Duncan said: “More people today, including the largest groups in our target audience – consumers in Virginia and the staff and technicians of our member companies – are relying on their smartphones to access the internet. Now, our Website is mobile friendly.”

Major features of VPMA’s enhanced site “showcase a cleaner, more attractive and updated design,” said Frank Petrov, president of BCS Website Services. “Some of its main features include enhanced content and navigation and easier access to all content. With the responsive HTML design, visitors do not have to resize to read an item, and can access the Website on the go.”

David Outhous, VPMA chair of IT services said the investment in the new Website was worth it. “With Google’s announcement in 2015 that it would exclude Websites from mobile-based searches if they are not mobile-friendly, it became critically important to update our site,” Outhous said. “The BCS Website Services team did a remarkable job of marrying our needs with their design recommendations and technical proficiency to create a new web design that we are absolutely happy with.”
